Publication for CIVA: La Royale Belge
La Royale Belge (1967–1970) is an iconic office building designed by architects Pierre Dufau (Paris) and René Stapels (Brussels) in collaboration with landscape architects Jean Delogne and Claude Rebold in Watermael-Boitsfort, on the green outskirts of Brussels' second ring. The design utilized the most advanced construction techniques, materials, and technology of its time.Twenty contributions from specialists, whose research has unearthed previously unpublished documents, are complemented by testimonies from the construction period. The publication is illustrated by photographer Maxime Delvaux, who produced an exclusive photo essay. It is a softcover publication featuring a bright orange cover married to a grey printed PVC dustjacket, mimicking the typical sheen of the windows featured in the building. The immense research featured in the book together with a 3 language layout made this a particularly interesting project. Produced in 2022 for CIVA.
